Our Story
The two of us first crossed paths in our foundational computer science class, where we quickly became close friends. As the eldest siblings in our families, we naturally took on the role of teaching assistants at home, but what started as family responsibility soon grew into a passion for tutoring and mentoring others. Throughout high school, we actively honed our skills through academic clubs, leadership roles, and professional experiences, making teaching an integral part of our journey.
We’ve always strived for academic excellence, scoring in the 99th percentile on the SAT and ACT, earning 5s on all our AP exams across 12+ rigorous courses, and graduating with Advanced Diplomas from Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology, a top STEM-focused institution in Northern Virginia. Our Approach
- Every student can excel! With the right tailored plan and plenty of support, we believe that your child can not only progress, but excel in any subject.
- Communication is key—we want to have a strong relationship with our parents as well as our students. We value parent input and believe that when all of us are on the same page, we can achieve the best results.
- Practice, practice, practice. We stand by the idea that nothing can replace consistent engagement with the target material—that’s why we provide additional take-home practice after each lesson we teach.
- Each student is different. We know that not everyone learns the same way, and that is reflected in our tutoring sessions. We incorporate a variety of practice activities, multimedia engagement, and visuals while explaining new concepts.
- We believe in individualized attention. All of our tutors have previous experience working at corporate educational companies, which often work on a one-size fits all model. In contrast, we tailor lessons, challenge, and methodology to fit your learner.
