FAQs

What forms of payment are accepted?

We currently accept PayPal, Venmo, and Zelle. We can also accept other forms of payment if request–email us and we will work with you!

How long have you been tutoring?

Our founders, Demi and Vishana, have been tutoring for 4+ years. Demi has also previously worked at standardized test prep and kids’ coding companies, and Vishana has similar corporate experience in kids’ mathematics.

All of our tutors have years of experience tutoring the subjects they specialize in and have helped many students achieve and excel at their academic goals.

What kinds of internships can you advise on?

Altogether, our team has interned at Ivy League and Tier 1 Research laboratories, the Naval Research Lab, U.S. government departments, top hospitals, major engineering companies, and more. We all are committed to mentoring our high school students in interview preparation, resume- and cover letter-writing, and application processes.

How do you match students with tutors?

We want each student to benefit from the highest level of expertise possible in the subject they’d like to study. As such, each student is matched with the most experienced tutor in a particular area, schedule-permitting. We will also do our best to honor specific tutor or founder requests, but we cannot guarantee this due to scheduling considerations.

Is there a minimum number of sessions I must attend?

No. You can come to us for homework help or advice in any of the subjects we offer, as opposed to a long-term commitment. However, we have found that a recurring model works best for most students.

Do you have contracts?

We offer session-by-session plans for all our subjects, as well as session bundles for certain subjects. We strongly recommend a consistent commitment to gain a solid foundation and advancement in the target subject. That being said, session-by-session plans can be terminated at any time, while bundles last for their respective number of hours.

Do you offer a pay-in-advance model?

At this time, we do not offer a pay-in-advance model for hour-by-hour sessions. We offer session bundles for some of our subjects, which are paid in full before the first session of the bundle.
